  • Day 01: Airport - Chilaw - Negombo

    Arrival at Sri Lanka airport. Our representative will receive you, following which we will visit the Manavari & Munneswaram Temples in Chilaw. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Negombo.

  • Manavari Temple

    Manavari is the first lingam built and prayed by Lord Rama. Since then the lingam is popularly known as Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world to be named after Lord Rama.

  • Munneswaram Temple

    Lord Rama following his triumphant battle, started for Ayodhya in one of King Ravana’s Vimanas. He felt he was being followed by Bramahathi Dosham(sin-because he had killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin). He stopped the Vimana at some point of place where he felt the “Brahmahathi Dosham” was not following him. He got down from the Vimana and prayed to God Shiva for a remedy. God Shiva bestowed Lord Rama and apprised him to build and pray four lingams in Manavari, Thirukoneswaram, Thiruketheeswaram(In Sri Lanka) and Rameshwaram( In India), as the only solution to get rid of the Dosham(sin). Munneswaram Temple, along with Koneswaram (Trincomalee), Naguleswaram (Keerimalai), Thiruketheeshwaram (Mannar), forms the five antique temples devoted to Lord Shiva in the country including Sri Lanka.

  • Day 02: Negombo - Trincomalee

    After early morning breakfast, we will peacefully start to Trincomalee, We will visit the Kanniya Ravana Water well, Shankari Devi Shakthi Peetam Temple, take part in ChandiHomam Agni Pooja Ceremony, next we visit Thirukoneswaram Temple, later we visit Sri Singama Kali Amman Kovil(Temple) and Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple, in the evening we can return to the hotel or you can enjoy a walk in the pleasant Nilaveli Beach. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Trincomalee.

  • Kanniya Ravana Water Wells

    Kanniya’s history dates back to this place, where King Ravana performed the last rituals for his mother. When he was unable to find water to rightfully perform the rituals, in anger, he pierced his Trishula into the ground seven times. Water began to gush out instantly. The hot water cooled down to normal temperature when Ravana’s anger calmed down. Even now the temperature of the water is different from one another.

  • Thirukoneswaram Temple

    It is an incredible temple located on a rocky promontory in Trincomalee. It was built by Rishi Agastya on the directions of Lord Shiva who was impressed by the devotion of King Ravana. This place is distinctive in perspective because the Lord Shiva asked Rishi Agastya to built a temple for his devotee as a reward for his devotion. Lord Rama is believed to have offered his prayers at this place to get rid of the curse of killing Ravana who was a Brahmin, meaning "Brahmahathi Dosham"(sin for killing Brahmin). This magnificent temple was established here during the remarkable era of the Tamil Pallava and Chola and Pandya empires, which was devastated by intolerant Portuguese Christians between 1622 and 1624.

  • Shankari Devi Shakthi Pitham

    Next to Trincomalee's popular Koneswaram temple there is another shrine, it is small in size but holds significance for Hindu pilgrims. This Shankari Devi temple was rebuilt in a new place. The real Shankari Devi temple said to be built by Ravana, that was the first in the list of AshtaDasha (18) Shakti Peethas written down by Adi Shankara. But its whole cliff was destroyed by Portuguese cannonballs. Only a pillar for remembrance is placed on that spot now. And it is believed that the original idol of the Goddess has been preserved and replaced, being worshipped now nearby new Shankari Devi temple.

  • Day 03: Trincomalee - Sigiriya - Kandy

    After breakfast, we proceed to Kandy, en route visiting Sigiriya rock fortress, following we will visit an Herbal & Spice Garden over here you can taste a delicious cup of herbal tea, after that we visit the Historical Muthumari Amman Temple in Matale. After completion will drive to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and next spectator a Traditional Cultural Dance performance. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Kandy.

  • Sigiriya

    It is a home to the “5th-century Fortress in the Sky” which is the excellent single wonder of the Island. Also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion stands at the entrance to the fortress. Within its triple-moated defence, the huge rock extends approximately to a height of 600ft. On its peak are the bases of what was once a grand and magnificent palace and gardens surrounded by swimming pools. You can find the only Sinhalese earthly painting which withstood in the form of Frescos of life-sized damsels with all the freshness and transparency of their original colour on the side of the stairways. Sigiriya today is listed under UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Day 04: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

    After breakfast, we proceed to Nuwaraeliya, en-route visiting Tea Plantation and factory, Ramboda waterfalls, visit Hanuman Temple, Sita Amman Temple & Ashok Vatica. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Nuwaraeliya.

  • Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple

    Referred from great Hindu epic Ramayana, the temple is located on Ramboda hills, the same place where Hanuman came looking for Goddess Sita. The Chinmaya Mission built this Hanuman temple at this holy site. There is a 5 meters tall granite statue of Lord Rama's devoted follower Lord Hanuman. He is believed to have begun his search for Goddess Sita in the Baroda hills.

  • Sita Amman Temple

    Epic quotes that Goddess Sita bathed in the stream running down the hill at the village Sita Eliya, where this temple is located. This was the place where Sita used to pray daily for Lord Rama to come and rescue her. Out here, you can also witness the gigantic footsteps of Lord Hanuman. A temple for Lord Rama, Goddess Seetha Devi, Lord Lakshmana and Lord Hanuman are built on the sides of the stream.

  • Ashok Vanam

    The Ashok Vatika is the place where Ravana kept the Goddess Seetha convict. Ashok Vatika is a garden that is located in the Sita Eliya in Sri Lanka. Some of the interesting findings here include the rock on which Goddess Seetha used to sit and meditate. Sita Eliya is the only Goddess Site Temple in the world. The idols of Goddess Sita was unearthed from here 100 years ago.

  • Gayathri Amman Temple

    Gayathri Pitam, also spelt as Gayathri Peedam, is in the Nuwaraeliya town, it is the first and most prominent temple built for Gayathri Amman in Sri Lanka. Goddess Gayathri being an aspect of Goddess Saraswati and the Universal Mother. The temple was established by the Gayathri Siddhar Swami Murusegu. The Shiva Lingam for this Tamil temple was taken from the Holy River Narmada. Gayathri Pitam is said to be the place from where King Ravana's son Meghanath conciliated Lord Shiva with fasting and worship and in turn, was granted supernatural powers by the almighty Lord Shiva.

  • Day 05: Nuwara Eliya - Ella

    After breakfast, we will check out and drive you towards the beautiful city of Ella and explore this city which is rich in history of Raavana, en route to visit the "Divurumpola temple"(Sita Devi Agni tested place), next Ravana Falls, Later Ravana Caves it will be covered only if clients require as it is a trek.

  • Divurumpola Temple

    "Divurumpola" literally means a ‘place of oath’. This is the place where Goddess Sita underwent “Agni Pariksha”(fire test). Of which she came out unharmed and hence proved her innocence and purity. The news of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana was sent to Goddess Sita. After a bath and adorned with jewels she was taken on a palanquin before Lord Rama. Upholding the practice for thousands of years, villagers still pledge their loyalty or take oaths there and even in certain courts, this agreement was binding. This place is admired and worshipped by people down the ages.

  • Ella (Ravana Falls & Caves)

    Ravana Ella Cave is where Ravana was hiding Goddess Sita. Ravana Ella Cave located at the huge Ella Falls, an awe-inspiring waterfall of 1080 feet high that cataracts into several falls. The rocky encounters the waterfall is a Khondalite, it is a kind of limestone which undergoes faster decay as granite. This ended in many caves being formed near the falls. It is believed that King Ravana lived in one of the caves above the waterfall.

  • Day 06: Ella - Kataragama

    After breakfast, we will drive to the city of Kataragama, In arrival at Kataragama we will visit the Sella Kataragama Lord Ganesh Temple and Goddess Lakshmi Temple. Following that, in the evening we will take part in the evening pooja according to the timings. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Kataragama.

  • Kataragama Temple

    This is the temple devoted to Lord Karthikeya Subramaniam at Kataragama. Lord Indra insisted Lord Karthikeya to go to the battlefield on the last day of war. This was done to protect Lord Rama from the rage of Brahmasthra intended by King Ravana which otherwise would have weakened Lord Rama. The benefit was one of the most powerful weapons Brahmasthra aimed at Lord Rama for the second time was rendered useless by the presence of Lord Karthikeya.

  • Day 07: Kataragama - Bentota

    After breakfast, we will drive you to the Southern Beach of Bentota, en route to visit the site of Ussangoda, next enjoy Boat Safari in the Madu River. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Bentota.

  • Ussangoda

    According to major Sanskrit epics of ancient India - Ramayana, Lord Hanuman after meeting Goddess Seetha Devi chose to test the strength of the great King Ravana and his army of Rakshasas. At that incident, the unfolded Lord Hanuman's tail was set on fire by the Rakshasas, who in turn went on to burn some parts of King Ravana's empire. Ussangoda is one of the burnt regions, which is believed to be an airport used by King Ravana.

  • Day 08: Bentota - Colombo

    After breakfast, we will drive you to the Commercial capital of Colombo, en route to visit the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya (Vibhishan Place). After that, we will visit the Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo, next we will explore the city with a city sightseeing and shopping tour. Have Dinner & stay overnight in a hotel at Colombo.

  • Vibhishana Palace

    Besides the well-known Buddhist temple is a Vibhishana shrine in Kelaniya. After Ravana's death, Lord Rama designated Vibhishana as the new king of Lanka. Vibhishana is worshipped by Sinhalese Buddhists as a god, they believe him to be one of the main protectors of the island, particularly for the western territories.

  • Anjaneyar Temple

    This temple is the first Anjaneyar Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman in Sri Lanka and the only Panchamuga(five faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. It’s the only temple in the world to have a Ratha(chariot) for Anjaneyar.

  • Day 09: Departure

    Have breakfast at the hotel, later will proceed to the airport in time for the departure flight.
