Agrasen Ki Baoli

1503

In difference to the disarray of central Delhi, the quaint Hailey Road hides a gem which has become a visitors hotspot in Delhi, the notorious Agrasen Ki Baoli. Made popular by iconic movies like PK and Sultan, Agrasen ki Baoli has become the new trend in the city of Delhi. Among the jungle of concrete, this charming little monument in Delhi is a reminiscence of the heritage of medieval times. One of the most conserved monuments in Delhi, Agrasen ki Baoli is a monument of many origins and filled with past history. Believed to be one of the most cursed monuments in Delhi, the water in Baoli was think to be a source of Black magic. It was trusted that who so ever looked at the black water of the Baoli used to commit suicide by jumping from the top of the Baoli. Just like any folklore, there has been no such actual proof of it. Today, the monument is congregated by tourist and birds, who have been called it their home. 108 steps as well, as you dip to its lower level, the cold air makes the surrounding more mysterious. In a position like that, you might actually start trusting the tales of haunted. Although there is no water left within the stepwell, you might still wonder how marvelous it would look, fully filled with water. HISTORY OF THE ATTRACTION
