Our tour guide welcomes you on your arrival in Jaipur and escorts you to your hotel. In the evening the group sets out to visit Chokhi Dhani, a village in the city created by the tourism department to give a taste of rural lifestyles of Rajasthan. You get to witness folk dances, magic shows, and puppet shows and also enjoy traditional Rajasthan style meal. Rest for the night in your hotel.
Breakfast heartily on local Rajasthani snacks and board the coach for the drive to Amber Fort about 11 km away. The Fort complex was once the capital of Jaipur before Maharaja Sawai Singh built the royal city palace in the city. It is a vast complex housing palace, durbar, and museum. After lunch, the group returns to Jaipur for a tour of the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal. The City Palace is still home to the descendants of Maharaja Jai Singh. Explore the city bazaars in the evening before retiring for the night.
Breakfast over, it is time for a drive across the desert from the Pink city to the Blue city, Jodhpur. Check into your hotel on arrival and rest. As the shadows lengthen the group set out for a visit to the new Umaid Bhavan Palace, part of which is still home to the erstwhile Maharaja of Jodhpur and part of which is now a five-star hotel. You are then free for the evening to explore the bazaars and sample the delights of Jodhpur such as the famously large kachori snack.
Sample local Rajasthani treats for breakfast and then set out for Mehrangarh Fort and the Jaswant Thada, two landmarks of Jodhpur. The Fort complex is large and houses palaces and museums where you get a glimpse into the royal past of the princes. Post lunch we get into the coach for the drive to Udaipur, the Lake City and Venice of India. Check into your hotel on arrival freshen up and set out for an evening excursion with a delightful boat ride on Lake Pichola. The ride takes you to Jag Mandir, the palace on an island in the middle of the Lake. Tour the palace and enjoy a snack.
An early breakfast over, the group sets out to explore the charms of this enchanting city. The tour starts with the City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. It is beautiful for its architecture, the artifacts within and the serenity inside. From here we visit the Jagdish temple, an Indo-Aryan temple built in 1651. Next, it is Sahelion ki Baro, a delightfully cozy nook designed for the princesses with its enchanting lotus pool and fountains. Spend the evening exploring the markets of Udaipur and pick up a few mementos.
